# THE JOSHUA TREE PACKAGE — Build Plan (for Stephen + the City) > **Current as of Aug 23 night:** Live packet numbers are on the one-page board and the filled City form. Working priced exterior **$84,680.59** including handicap entrance **$5,000**. Downtown HURD / BID is **parked — not this filing**. Basement is **not a use**. This file is lineage; do not file from it if it disagrees with the board. **One hub. Three parts. Its own flavor. This is the last piece that pulls everything together.** --- ## The pattern we already use (do not invent — reuse) | We did it for | The artifact | The move to steal | |---------------|--------------|-------------------| | **Fine Line** | `reports/s1454-execute/FINE_LINE_INVENTORY.html` — "Open It All Up" | One page → **The Assembly Path (read this first)** → every artifact tagged `polished / stale / broken / missing` → "shortest honest path to the deliverable" | | **Sonesta** | `docs/sonesta/franchise-research/SONESTA_FRANCHISE_OWNER_PACKAGE.md` | Opens with a **personal cover letter** → "the document itself is the proof of concept" | | **Fine Line brand** | `briefs/fineline-proposal/FINE_LINE_BRAND_KIT.html` | Its **own flavor** — own typefaces, own palette. NOT the generic Genesis doc format. | **Joshua Tree gets its own flavor:** stone, railroad, light-through-the-arch, craftsman's hands. Warm gray stone + a single ember orange (the concrete openings being reopened) + Cormorant for the story voice. Not wood-and-brass (that's Fine Line's), not hotel-navy (that's Sonesta's). --- ## The three parts of the hub ### 1. THE VISION — for the City (the part that is "boring half-ass" right now) A single scroll that casts the story the way the City scores it (RURD priority #6 = Marketing/Branding is literally worth points): - **Past** — railroad Helena, the 1935 earthquake that took the liquor warehouse next door, Nash-Finch distribution, the Christie truck. - **The 76 years** — Capital Transfer, the Horne family, John Horne's own words from the news. - **Now** — the stone, the poured-shut openings, the wells, the barn doors (real photos). - **The craftsman** — Stephen, 30 years of local making, restoring the face of the district. - **The ask** — private money for the shop, City match for the public face. *This is not a new story. The story site already exists. This is the elevated, city-facing version — the one that makes the board want to say yes.* ### 2. THE LINKS — the resource hub (the "main link page" you asked for) One page, every link compiled, clickable, grouped: **The application** - The City's own 15-page form (filled) — `JOSHUA_TREE_APPLICATION.html` - The owner permission letter (Horne, unsigned) **The money** - City Railroad URD TIF page (helenamt.gov) - Montana Main Street Program (second façade source) - Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund (jobs) - Montana Historic Preservation Grant (next cycle) - Preserve Montana / historic tax credits **The proof** - The county tax card (taxid 2852 — proves in-district, taxes paid) - The KTVH Capital Transfer closure story - "Helena As She Was" (Nash-Finch @ 1316 verified) - Precedents (Pattern House ~$75K, YWCA ~$150K) **The work** - The two window quotes - The story site + board presentation + worksite ### 3. THE STATUS — for Stephen (the "here's where you're at" part) A client-facing one-pager that says, in plain English: - **Green** — research done, story told, three money lanes mapped, application drafted. - **Waiting on him** — the few more bids (he said they're coming), John Horne's signature, the lease, headcount, basement use. - **The one next move** — the City eligibility call (already in motion). Each line tagged like the Fine Line inventory — `done / waiting / needs-a-fact` — so Stephen sees in ten seconds what's left and what it costs. --- ## How it ships 1. One HTML file, `JOSHUA_TREE_PACKAGE.html`, on the Desktop + in the repo. 2. Its own stylesheet (stone + ember, Cormorant voice) — not the generic Genesis doc format, not Fine Line's palette. 3. Link it from the existing `JOSHUA_TREE_COMMAND_CENTER.html` as the top item, so Carter always has one door. --- ## The honest order of work (next session) 1. Build the **links hub** first (30 min — it's just compiling what exists, no new content). 2. Build the **status page** (15 min — it's the Fine Line tag pattern applied). 3. Build the **vision scroll** (the only real creative lift — re-mount the existing story site into the elevated city-facing frame, no new facts, no invention). 4. One file. Open in Chrome. Done. **Nothing sends. Nothing files. Stephen and the City see nothing until Carter says the word.** --- *This plan is the deliverable. The hub is the only missing piece. Everything else already exists.*
